The goal for this week is to complete U8T2 (Evolution). As a reminder, our objectives are found in our notes as well as on our unit maps. To meet this week's goal, you should:
- Finish the notes for U8T2 (slides found here); if you want to watch a video putting this together, try this Stated Clearly Video (it is dry, but goes through the content!) Notes should take ~15 minutes
- Choose and complete ONE of the following paper-based labs/assignments for evolution (same end goal, different assignments): This assignment should take ~40-45 minutes
- Complete the following Types of Selection assignments: Assignment 1 takes about 30 minutes and assignment 2 takes about 15 minutes
- Graphing Assignment - Each graph will have three lines (1 for 1980 data, 1 for 1984 data, and 1 for 1988 data)
- Analysis Assignment
- Complete the Unit 8 Topic 2 Review - the review key is posted on the dedicated Unit 8 page for you to check your work

- I can list key features of the main terrestrial and aquatic biomes.
- Take the first portion of U9T1 Notes and watch the Amoeba Sisters Video (finish with slide 39, do not begin succession) Notes should take ~30 minutes (with video takes longer)

- Design your own study cards! Look over this packet of example cards and then use the information learned in the practice above to create your own examples. Use National Geographic and other websites to learn about different organisms and come up with at least two examples for each type of symbiotic relationship (competition, parasitism, mutualism, commensalism, predation...). You can do this on the computer or you can free-hand it! Assignment should take ~30-40 minutes
